Huge extruder gearbox!

Lately our colleagues from the workshop have been very well accompanied by this beautiful and big extruder gearbox.

Extruder gearboxes are key players in plastic pellet manufacturing processes and Guibe has a wide experience in these machines. However, these machines are also used in the tire manufacturing processes and this is the case of the gearbox that we are showing today.

Not only its size is very impressive but also the peripheral elements that it includes such as the forced lubrication unit and the different sensors to monitor the performance of the gearbox: point to point flow, pressure, oil and bearing temperature.

This has been a drop-in project where our customer had an old gearbox that dated back to the seventies and they needed an interchangeable new one.
